Real Food

People like to ask what I have for breakfast. I'm not sure what they expect to hear maybe, "alfalfa sprouts and grass clippings." They are almost always surprised when I say, "Sausage, eggs and toast with butter and honey." Some mornings we have oatmeal, smoothies or pancakes and other such yummy things.

Here's our rule to live by:

If people didn't eat it (or couldn't make it) a 100 years ago then we don't eat it. We feel that we're pretty safe eating what people have eaten for thousands of years: dairy, meat, fish, fruits, veggies and grains. Pretty simple, eh?

So yes, we ignore all the fat phobe experts and we eat butter, cream, drink whole milk, eat red meat and enjoy many kinds of cheeses. And we haven't gained a pound.
