My midwife Sue recently mentioned that since this movie came out (a little over a year ago) the home birthing rate in Orange County has increased from 1 to 2%. She said she is barely able to keep up with the demand of late.

Any movie that can have that kind of effect is a movie you probably want to get your hands on.

Ricki Lake (she of the 90's talk show) and producer Abby Epstein share their own home birth stories. They also interview doctors midwives and moms and the result is a fascinating and important documentary.
